Our story :
Prunevelle is a place where a group of friends, including Jean-Pierre Peugeot and Raymond Japy, decided to create a golf course in 1928.
The necessary land was acquired in 1929 despite the complexity of the project, which involved 283 plots belonging to numerous owners. The golf course was managed by a real estate company chaired by Jean-Pierre Peugeot, and the Prunevelle Sports Association was officially created in 1930.
The first competitions took place in 1934. Activity was interrupted during the Second World War, then gradually resumed from 1945. Under different presidencies, golf developed steadily, going from 9 to 18 holes in 1961 thanks to the acquisition of new land.
Over the years, the association became more structured to accommodate the growing number of members. In 1984, the Peugeot Classic was created and quickly gained a European reputation thanks to the participation of top golfers.
In 2008, the Sports Association became fully independent by buying back the facilities from the PSA Peugeot Citroën group.
Since that date, the association has evolved every year to offer members, visitors and partners the best golfing experiences.
